Hailing from a small town in New Hampshire, Jacob was first introduced to the game of golf at age six by his mother, Kim. At the age of seven, he began competing in the Monadnock region's local junior tournaments and has been playing ever since. Besides golf, Jacob grew up playing baseball, soccer, and snowboarding during the winters in New England.
In April 2020, Jacob completed a decorated collegiate career at the University of Redlands, CA, showing significant progress and tenacity during his tenure in a highly competitive conference. Besides being the golf team captain, Jacob collected five wins, several top 10 finishes, competed in the 2019 NCAA championships, and received several awards, including an All-American honorable mention and All-Region West First Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America, in addition to being a two-time First Team all-conference. Jacob finished runner-up in the 2019 New Hampshire Amateur Championship hosted at Portsmouth Country Club, in tandem with a top-25 finish in the New England Amateur.
As much as Jacob is a fierce competitor, his trust in knowledge is equal to it. He has worked with Mario Guerra, Head Professional at Quaker Ridge Golf Club and Master Instructor at Jim McClean Golf School in Miami, for five years. During this time, the two have consistently sought ways to improve.
A 2020 college graduate, Jacob has now turned his sights on the professional competition in various events across the country, in preparation for Q-School in the fall.
In addition to a heavy competition schedule, Jacob also worked as an Assistant Professional at the prestigious Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale during the 2021 summer. Additionally, Jacob served as the Assistant Coach of the University of Redlands Men’s Golf Team for two years, from 2020 to 2022.
Jacob now resides in Temecula, CA, and is a full-time touring professional.
